Founded by scientists, who moved to the area after working several years in developing technologies in US, Aavishkaar aims to make high quality and joyful learning accessible to all, and to spread the culture of science and scientific inquiry.
Aavishkaar is a program of Phoolan Devi Thakurdass Karol Charitable Trust (PDTKC) and Aavishkaar Yaatraa. The PDTKC trust supports under-served communities to get access to healthcare and education.
The Rotary Foundation, Teklink International and Asha for Education have generously supported many Aavishkaar programs to provide access to high quality hands-on science and math to under-served communities.
Aavishkaar is also a part of the TFIx network, which provides incubation and learning support to our team and is helping us adapt the Teach for India fellowship model to our context. We were also among the top 10 teams in the country that were selected for the Tata Social Entrepreneurship Challenge, 2017 held at IIM Calcutta.
We have consistently tried to strengthen our efforts to deliver quality education to those with little access, by collaborating with Nari Gunjan (Bihar), KarmMarg (Delhi), Kranti (Mumbai), Santawana and DoE, Delhi Government.
